A new type of gaming experience has been coming into vogue lately, and it’s called a “Light” Switch. The main idea is that instead of the traditional controller-based games we’ve known for decades, Light Switches are designed to be more immersive with tactile controls.

The “fancy light switches” are a great way to change the look of your home. They come in all sorts of styles, colors, and sizes.

Real homes have several features that Sims dwellings lack.

The most of it is dull stuff that wouldn’t be much fun to install in the first place.

Do you want your Sims to struggle with a sewage system or mold in the walls, for example? Most likely not. Even though this is a life simulator, there are certain things that are best kept out.

Small features, on the other hand, may make a house seem more genuine without having to deal with all of the bullshit that comes with owning.

And chances are you have outlets and light switches no matter where you live, whether it’s a typical house, apartment, or even a converted van.

These are two of the most common items in any household. And there’s no going back once you notice their absence from the game.

This was something I first observed when I was attempting to create a home based on a TV show — and when I went to CC, I wasn’t disappointed.

This collection has a variety of alternatives to suit a variety of household types, and they’ll never seem out of place.

Your creations will appear better than ever by adding light switches and wall plugs here and there!

1. NEIDEN Dual Socket in the United States

Take a Look At This CC

We’ve got a typical twin electrical socket here.

Some individuals nowadays believe they are obsolete. For more than fifty years, new residences have been required to include three-pronged outlets.

So there’s a nice fact there. If you have anything that looks like this in your house, it’s an antique that should be avoided.

But, in all seriousness, they are still quite popular in most towns since most homes aren’t brand new, and replacing electrical wiring is a difficult and costly operation.

Since more devices now have three-pronged connections, they’re becoming a bit of a pain to deal with. However, it is what it is.

And it seems that Sims just gather energy from the air to power their gadgets, so it’s all okay!

These ornamental plugs come in four different styles and will add a lovely sense of authenticity to any antique home.

If you merely enjoy the look and want to utilize them in more contemporary spaces, they’ll still work since I don’t believe anybody outside of house inspectors is aware of…or cares about…the three-prong rule.

2. TS2 to TS4 Light Switches and Outlets

Take a Look At This CC

Here’s a handy set of outlets and switches for when you need to spruce up your wall décor in a hurry. And they’re from The Sims 2’s original aesthetics!

Sockets, light switches, and a thermostat are all there and correct.

First, let’s speak about that thermostat.

It’s great that they included one with Seasons, and it’s quite appropriate, but it’s always seemed odd to me. Perhaps it’s because I live in an old, run-down home, but I’m accustomed to the white, rectangular style shown here.

You know, it’s simply a classic aesthetic.

There are also a few light switches here.

There are single, double, and even triple switches available, as well as a few of models with a dial. So, I suppose, your Sims may lower the lights in that romantic, “lean against the wall and look sexy” style.

And, surprise, surprise, both outlets are three-pronged!

I’m sure you’ll never forget it now. Sorry.

3. Sockets for electricity (Stickers)

Electric Sockets (Stickers) TS4 CC

The majority of the outlets and switches for your Sims are stickers, which is quite convenient.

With this set, you can definitely understand how the simplicity of stickers is useful for so many households. There are some nicer variants we’ll get to later.

You won’t have to worry about items interfering or clipping since each of these 6 swatches is flat and suitably sized.

I almost wish windows were stickers because occasionally strange things happen when attempting to position furniture or stairs, and it’s a huge pain.

It’ll be simple to install them throughout your Sim’s house, and they’re all the same basic white color.

4. Wall Stickers for Light Switches

These light switches were designed by Bakie, the same Simmer who created the CC electric sockets stickers above.

I’m not sure where this artist is from, but I immediately observed that the design of them is unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the United States.

This led to some Googling, which revealed that switches in Europe are completely different.

It’s incredible how much information about other places can be learned via the CC community.

Unknowingly, players from all walks of life represent something completely fresh to others.

This package includes six of the most common light switch styles found throughout Europe. Please forgive me if this is one of those things where America is the outlier and the rest of the world has them, but I think they’re amazing.

Set of 5 Nightlight Switches

Any amount of light helps folks who are terrified of the dark.

I’ve never understood why this is often dismissed as a child’s fear yet the dark may be really frightening.

“The night is dark and full of terrors,” Melisandre from Game of Thrones stated, and she wasn’t joking. Murders, the bogeyman, and cockroaches flourish in the darkest hours of the night.

Sims already have the benefit of apparently magical auto lights that switch on whenever they enter a room, but real humans aren’t that fortunate.

This is another another technique to make any of your Sim’s rooms more realistic.

This colorful CC set has a variety of alternatives, including single nightlights, nightlights with plugs, and basic switches.

When you least expect it, creators will surprise you with useful items.

I never anticipated a Simmer to bestow the gift of electricity on the rest of us, yet here we are.

Okay, it was maybe a touch theatrical. TheSimmer40 didn’t invent the lightbulb, but they did make it possible for your Sims to have lightswitches that you can interact with, which is just as powerful.

According to my understanding, the same choices appear when you click on any light fixture or bulb, however these switches do not generate light.

You can use them to manage the whole complex without having to zoom out and look for a ceiling light or whatever.

There are a few power outlets here as well, with single and double sockets.

Those are just cosmetic, since what would a working outlet entail?

Because the solution in this game is most likely accidental electrocution, I believe I’m safe.

Switches and Sockets by DaraSims

Another set with a large number of switches and plugs.

It’s interesting how many Simmers matched them together, since they generally go together.

And I, for one, must ensure that everything in my Sims’ homes is symmetrical and coordinated.

Single, double, and triple versions of the switches and sockets are available.

This will allow you a lot of leeway in terms of how you use them in your project – and prevent rooms from seeming too similar.

Because they are things we see all the time in our daily lives, they will blend nicely with any design and won’t stand out if hung all together on a wall.

It should also go without saying that these accents will look wonderful near equipment like coffee pots or microwaves.

It just looks correct, even if they don’t have wires.

NEIDEN NEIDEN NEIDEN NEIDEN NEIDEN NEIDEN NEI

NEIDEN Wall Socket Outlet / Sims 4 CC

This is the outlet that we all wish was right next to our mattresses.

It has everything.

Not only do you get two sockets, but you also get USB ports and light switches.

It’s the all-in-one wall fixture you’ve always wanted but didn’t realize existed. Right now, humanity is at its pinnacle.

I’m not sure what kinds of homes have them in what parts of the globe, but the Midwest seems to have missed the message on this level of convenience.

It’s exhausting to have to use an extension cable for everything other than charging my phone and utilizing a light.

But no game enables you to act out your fantasies like The Sims, therefore I’m quite content to provide this futuristic ornamental item to all of my Sims.

NEIDEN Dimmer Switch No. 9

In most houses, there is no means to alter the brightness of a light.

But, given that all lights in The Sims 4 have that choice, it’s only natural that they have the appropriate wall fixture.

This serves as a reminder that not all switches are simple on/off switches.

The switch enables you to dim the lights in some truly amazing residences.

Yes, exactly like in the movies, it’s all romantic and sexy.

Just seeing this will make your Sims want to go out and purchase a fireplace and put a rug in front of it to sit on.

No, not really… But, my, if they could, what a game this would be!

10. Electric Laundry Outlet

Laundry Electric Outlet / Sims 4 CC

Washers and dryers can’t be plugged into any old socket, no matter how handy that might be.

There are a number of safety requirements that must be followed, which is why there is typically a designated outlet for them.

Maybe that’s why my Sims have so many near-death experiences when drying clothing because the machine catches fire if they don’t clear the lint trap once in a while. There isn’t even a plug.

Consider how dangerous it is…

These outlets, which are part of Soloriya’s lovely CC laundry set, are the sort of straightforward sockets designed for huge appliances.

Even though it comes in five lovely hues, you can tell this device means business simply by looking at it.

11. You’re well-versed in the drill utility set

'You Know The Drill' Utility CC Set for The Sims 4

We could have a handyman talent as well as a workstation.

But really creating a specific location for an useful Sim is a another issue.

This usually necessitates a slew of tools and extras that aren’t included in the game.

To be honest, it’s items that most people have in their houses and garages, such as screwdrivers, lubricants, pliers, and other tools for building or repairing things.

However, many jobs include the use of power tools, and you know what they are. Power.

This set includes a heavy-duty socket that you can download separately from the “set creations” page.

It may be used with any of RAVAHSEEN’s handy pegboards, which you can configure anyway you want, or it can be mounted directly on the wall.

12. Light Switches and Power Outlets

Power Points and Light Switches / TS4 CC

As wonderful as all of these simple outlets have been, it’s much better to see one with wires attached.

This amplifies the realistic impression even further.

They’re also classified as paintings, so you may hang them on any wall.

You can put them near any electric object, including kitchen appliances, lights, and TVs, among other things, and they’ll look great.

The options are limitless.

And as every Simmer’s imagination (or so it seems) is limitless, I’m sure you’ll discover a plethora of ways to use this set to make your house better than before.

A light switch is a device that controls the power to an electric light or other electrical appliance. It has two terminals, one for connecting wires from the source of electricity and the other for connecting wires to the lights or appliances that are controlled by it.
